Artist in Residence: Olga KorolevaOlga is a London-based artist, filmmaker, and independent researcher working within the field of animal theory. She is a Film Practice Fellow at the Centre for Film and Ethics, Queen Mary University. Her research interests, marked out in the ongoing project Patterns of Care, include questions of personhood, life, and liveness of human and non-human animals, organic and inorganic matter, and their multiplicities, indigenous standpoints, and an examination of the co-evolution of interspecies relations in language, biology, and gesture. Dr. Pranoto IskandarPranoto is the Founding Director of the Institute for Migrant Rights and O’Brien Fellow at McGill Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism. Dr. Parikshit ThakurParikshit is Assistant Professor of Political Science in Dwijendralal College and guest faculty in the Post Graduate Department of Political Science, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Dr. Senthorun RajDr. Senthorun Raj is a Lecturer in Law at Keele University and is passionate about glitter, pop culture, politics, and social justice. Sen’s academic and activist work takes an intersectional approach to addressing the ways law deals with the lives of queer minorities.
He is the chair of Black Gold Arts and serves on the board of Amnesty International UK. Karen RichmondKaren is a doctoral candidate at the University of Strathclyde. Her research explores interactions between the legal, and scientific, domains, with a particular focus on forensic DNA profiling, and the use of algorithms within the criminal justice system.
She is also an evidence scholar, whose postdoctoral research led her to develop a quantitative method of Wigmorean case analysis. Mika SchroederMika specialises in international biodiversity law, with her key interest pertaining to the recognition and safeguarding of community rights, knowledges, and perspectives within decision-making processes. She is currently a doctoral researcher at the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance, interrogating the meaning and practice of ‘local stakeholder’ participation within international biodiversity law through the lens of spatial justice, exploring whether and how these processes enable an interrogation and reimagining of global conservation endeavours by accommodating local perspectives and experiences.

Jasmin BeckJasmin is currently pursuing a PhD while working on the ERC Consolidator Grant Project “Correcting Inequality through Law.” The project analyses the equality jurisprudence of over a dozen jurisdictions for comparison, in order to explain the doctrinal choices of the analysed courts and to examine whether courts are better suited to correct certain kinds of inequalities than others. Jasmin holds an MA in International Law and the Settlement of Disputes from the UN-mandated University for Peace and a BA in Law and Development Studies from SOAS, University of London, and is pursuing an LLB at the Swiss Distance University.

Joao Otavio Benevides DemasiJoao is currently a Ph.D. student on WTO Law from the University of Maastricht, Netherlands. Anne-Marie GreensladeAnne Marie is a doctoral researcher at Leeds Beckett University, focusing her research on UK support provisions for survivors of contemporary slavery. She also teaches Public Law and International Human Rights Law.
She has previously been a front-line practitioner in the voluntary and public sectors. Her experience supporting refugee communities in Kosovo fueled her interest in human rights. She later worked alongside the police and CPS as an independent advocate for survivors of rape and sexual abuse. Clare Frances MoranClare Frances is lecturer in law at Edinburgh Napier. Her research interests lie in the related fields of international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and international human rights law, with a focus on the application of legal theory to these areas. Her current work focuses on a theory of authority in international criminal law and is due to be published by Cambridge University Press in 2020. Peter DunnePeter is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol Law School and an Associate Member of Garden Court Chambers, London. He researches on LGBT+ rights. Peter currently serves as the Senior Expert for Sexual Orientation with the European Equality Law Network. From 2017-2018, Peter (with Dr Marjolein van den Brink) undertook EU-funded research on transgender and intersex equality rights in Europe. Stelios is a Senior Lecturer in Corporate and Financial Law and Director of Postgraduate Programmes. Dr Andreadakis’ research interests are in the areas of Corporate Law and EU Law.
